I'm new here. I dont remember how I found this site... musta been through TDH.
I went to DragonCon this past weekend and showed off my new Mandalorian armor. I was pleasantly surprised by everyone's reactions and compliments. For those of you who were there and might have seen me, I was the purple female Mandalore. A lot of folks called me "Barbie Fett" but I think that was actually the girl with the yellow armor.
Since coming home, I've got a lot of new ideas for another suit of armor which I hope to have for D*C next year. My uncle also has armor, Montross. Maybe he'll stop by the boards sometime... he thinks the MW site is a great idea. And he has a 2nd suit of armor in the works.
I'll try to post pics this weekend.

Danifett: Ooooo you like the colour purple too? XD I was hoping to get started on my own suit soon, and purple was gonna be the choice in colour. Though if it's already been done I suppose I'll have to find something else that's unique.... *shrugs*
Anyhoo, I'm still here! I haven't died... yet. Oh, and fandalorians.com is gonna be up again soon. I just gotta finish updating the new layout, which is very sexay I might add ^.~

Yep Jodo, that's me. And your suit is jam up! I didn't think the purple (esp. with the pink) would go over very well... particularly with the Mandalore crowd... but I got nothing but kudos when I was walking the scene. I'd had the idea for a female version of Boba Fett's costume about 3-4 years ago... even had a friend sketch out the design and color scheme. But then the idea fell by the wayside and I did the TK thing. After trooping it up for a little while, I told my boyfriend about my idea and away we went! From start to finish it took maybe... 3 months. I'm a shortie at 5'2", so the armor plates are still too big and because my chest isn't flat (which is good, I guess!) the pieces don't lay flat. That was something about BarbieFett's suit I liked... her chestplates. My uncle wants to try and make Fett-style gauntlets and I'd need some custom for my smaller arms. Any ideas on how to get started would be appreciated. Ari: You can still do purple... there's tons of shades of purple! I'd like to see what you have in mind as far as style of your custom costume. dani
