Here's my Sniper rifle scratchbuild, all broken down. It can be used as just the base piece, or the barrel can be attached for sniping purposes.

Sure thing.
I liked the "look" of the MG34s and 42s that had been used in the SW films, but didn't want to pay the sometime-price of almost a 1000 bucks for an original. I figured since I am also a blacksmith (not a horseshoer, a blacksmith.....I work metal), I'd make my own and design it a bit differently. So, it's wood for the stock (fiberglassed over), and aluminum for the metal parts. The scope is ABS fittings, with two lenses cut from the scrap from my visor lense. The greeblies and fittings are courtesy of my favorite metal-scrapyard.
The two pieces slide and snap together by means of the hardware found in patio umbrellas; the spring-loaded button that pops into a hole in the pipe slid over it.
It weighs and feels pretty realistic. Most guys, when they hold it, get a goofy smile across their face. ;D
